As you sit in the depths of winter, in your rain-soaked, overcast Northern European countries ( those of you in the southern hemisphere - we are jealous), with the credit crunch and doom and gloom all around, turn your mind to a warmer, more peaceful, and relaxing summer 2009 . Come and sail with us on the stunning waters of the Ionean sea on board the 46' sloop Blue Planet, where your popstar skipper Rick Driscoll, will both guide and entertain you around the Greek Islands. During your trip not only will you enjoy the thrill of being at sea under sail,but you'll also cruise to some of the most beautiful locations Greece has to offer, and enjoy some of the finest cuisine in the area. (We know the places to avoid after 4 years of operating here!)

Individual travellers

For those of you travelling alone,in a small group, or those wishing to take part in a sailing course, we realise that you may not want to charter an entire boat,so uniquely we offer individual bookings, where you come along and meet like minded adventurers.We will always make you feel welcome and valued as part of the crew, and we find that many a new friendship has been made this way,so don't be worried about coming out alone.

Your Captain

Rick Driscoll is a UK commercially endorsed 'Yachtmaster' and 'RYA Cruising instructor' who has sailed these waters for the last 4 years, so you can be sure your in safe hands. You might also consider combining a holiday with improving you sailing skills, by signing up to either a 'Competent Crew' or 'Day Skippper' course both of which we can organise through the local RYA school. Both courses are non tidal, have a duration of 5 days and will be taught by Rick on Board the very comfortable, commercially certified and insured Blue Planet.

Yoga

As the name of our company might suggest, there is a Yoga element to our operation. We can organise Yoga courses on board, but we need a minimum of 5 guests for this, as we have to fly professional teachers in from the UK, so the best solution is to rally your Yoga friends together. Yogis who have joined us in the past have found the combination of Yoga practice, and the freedom of the seas an intoxicating mix. Yoga Sail is the brainchild of seventies pop star and composer, Rick Driscoll. By bringing together his love for both the sea and yoga he feels he has discovered his perfect lifestyle.

Sailing in the Ionian Sea

Yoga Sail is based on the beautiful Greek island of Corfu. We know the area intimately - where to eat, which secluded bays are best and which village harbours are best for overnight stops. Cruising under sail is an unforgettable experience and you can be as involved as you wish. We are happy to 'show you the ropes' or you can simply soak up the sunshine.

Welcome aboard the yacht 'Blue Planet'

After arriving at Corfu International airport you are only a 15 minute taxi ride from our base at Gouvia Marina. Your yacht,the 46 foot,'MCA'and Greek coded, (14m) sloop 'Blue Planet' will be waiting for you. She is comfortable, roomy and luxuriously appointed with 4 double cabins, three showers, two toilets and the latest navigational and safety equipment. Your adventure starts here!

HOW MUCH IS IT ?

Exclusive Charter: price 2500 UK pounds high and 2000 UK pounds low season

This means you have sole use of the entire boat for up to 6 guests, price includes the skippers fee,mooring fees, fuel costs, and a continental breakfast.

Non exclusive cruises: price 425.00 UK pounds p/p

This allows solo travellers or small groups, to meet up with like minded individuals who wish to enjoy a relaxing cruise around the Ionean islands, where you can just kick back and watch the calm azure waters gently pass by whilst your Captain takes care of the boat, sailing you to many stunning locations, and fabulous restaurants.

Sailing Tuition: price 690.00 UK pounds p/p

If you are interested in improving your sailing skills, as an RYA 'Cruising Instructor', Rick can train you for RYA 'Competent Crew' and 'Day Skipper' (non tidal), which is organised and certified through a local RYA school.

Yoga : price 550.00 UK pounds

Yoga Sail is also unique combination of a holiday aboard a luxury yacht, sailing around the Greek Islands, and a yoga retreat. It offers a relaxing blend of cruising under sail and professional yoga tuition.Must be a group of 5

Hostess

If you require a hostess to prepare breakfast and lunch and to generally pamper you, this can be organised at an extra cost of 250 pounds for the week

Number of Guests

Whichever holiday you decide on, we only take a maximum of 6 guests on each trip, although under exceptional circumstances, eg a family or group, we can be pushed to 8.

Prices

Prices are in UK pounds based on a six night, sharing P/P rate

Payment

Payment can be made using most types of credit/debit cards,(we use the very secure PayPal system), or via bank transfer.

Yoga Sail operates from May through to the end of October, trips normally leave on a Monday through Saturday, though we can negotiate on this depending where your flying from. (Please check our 'Travel Info' page for a list of carriers).
